This whole thing of a low self-esteem usually starts when you are in primary. You meet different people, your mother tells you that you are beautiful but what can she say, you are her baby at the end of the day. The bully at school
tells you, you the most ugliest and skinniest kid he has ever met.
As I grow older I learnt to be confident in my own skin. There is nothing more exciting than that. While someone is willing to bleach her skin, I look at women like Lupita Ny'ongo and I remind myself that dark is beautiful. By doing that I have learnt to trust myself. People usually ask me if I am a model. I don't consider myself that anymore, I just trust myself enough that even brand managers have learnt to trust me with their brands.
You can't define beauty using a dictionary, you've got to have your own definition. Mine is: "Beauty means being confident about the you look."
Have a productive week.
